Richard and Linda Eyre

Richard and Linda Eyre are among the most popular speakers in the world on parenting and families. Their clients and audiences range from The Young President’s Organization (YPO) and major corporations and associations to a wide array of school, civic, church and community groups. They find it remarkable and gratifying that in every one of the 50+ countries where they have presented, parents have similar hopes, dreams and worries about their children regardless of economic, religious, geographic, and cultural differences.

The Eyres are authors of more than 50 books, most of which deal with work/family balance and parenting, and one of which, Teaching Your Children Values, became the only parenting book in more than fifty years  to reach #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

Richard and Linda have been frequent guests on national network shows including Oprah, The Today Show, Prime Time Live, 60 Minutes, and Good Morning America; and they once did regular segments on the CBS Early Show.

Richard and Linda are parents to 9 children and have 34 grandchildren!

Luz Escamilla

Luz Escamilla is a dedicated public servant and leader, currently serving as the Minority Leader of the Utah Senate. A passionate advocate for education and equity, she has championed policies that uplift underrepresented communities and create opportunities for all students to succeed. With a background in business and public administration from the University of Utah, Luz brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work in advancing educational initiatives. Since her election in 2008, she has been a driving force in shaping policies that address the needs of students and families across Utah.

Dr. Tonya Johnson

Tonya Johnson serves as the Executive Director of Curriculum at Alegra Learning, bringing a lifelong dedication to education. With a passion for learning, Tonya pursued extensive academic studies, earning a BS, MPA, MS, and PhD over 12 years. Her teaching experience spans a wide range of ages, from first graders to college students.

In recent years, Tonya has focused on online education, joining the Alegra Learning team to design engaging curriculum for children. Her work has been instrumental in helping children worldwide begin their journey to learning English.

​

Outside of her professional endeavors, Tonya recently married and became a proud stepmother to three amazing children, who often contribute suggestions and even make appearances in Alegra Learning’s videos. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, hiking, and traveling.

Carter Durham

Carter Durham is a Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer & Head of Product at Alegra Learning. His journey into language learning began as a young man when he lived in a foreign country and experienced firsthand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. This experience sparked his passion for helping others navigate the process of language acquisition. He is a lover of languages and recently became fluent in Italian. He also sits as the resident expert on AI at Alegra Learning.

Carter has dedicated much of his career to teaching English to children worldwide. In 2017, when Noah Eyre (CEO and Founder of Alegra Learning) approached him with the idea of creating a company that combined English language instruction with character-building values, Carter enthusiastically joined the mission. His work at Joy School English reflects his commitment to equipping children with the skills and principles needed to succeed and make meaningful connections.

As a father of four, Carter is deeply passionate about helping kids realize their potential. He firmly believes that teaching English and values provides children with invaluable tools for building their futures. Witnessing the confidence and growth in children as they learn and develop has been a source of great satisfaction for him.
